It was early in the day when we shot this gorgeous sunflower and the dew was still on its bright yellow petals. The sun was up and the glow from its warm rays was just about to dry the tiny water droplets up. Sunflowers are an attractive ornamental addition to any garden, attracting both birds and butterflies. Their amazing presence and beauty will be a great enjoyment to you.
Sunflowers say “summer” like no other plant. Heliotropic, they direct their growth in response to sunlight! The flower slowly moves to face the warmth of the sun. I have always loved to take pictures. My first job, at age 16, was receptionist for our local newspaper, but the owners soon included me in taking photos, darkroom and writing articles. Years later, a terrible event in my personal life brought back a love of taking photos that I had not been pursuing to any great extent. My only child passed away at the age of 22. He was such a wonderful guy and I feel blessed that God chose me to be his mom.
