Description
"Cows in Texas Bluebonnets" was photographed in a Texas countryside field of beautiful bluebonnets. These two cows were leisurely grazing in the country flowers, oblivious for the most part, to us taking their photograph Nor were they concerned that they were standing in historical flowers. We love finding a field of beautifully landscaped bluebonnets. Bluebonnets is a name given to any number of species of the genus Lupinus predominantly found in southwestern United States. Lupinus texensis, Texas bluebonnet or Texas lupine, in specific, are our state flowers. The shape of the petals on the flower resembles the bonnet worn by pioneer women to shield them from the sun.
