Artist's Description
We recently spent two days in Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana. We were out one of the afternoons shooting pictures when we came across the campus of University of Louisiana at Monroe. We were very impressed with how beautiful and nice the campus was. Especially impressive was this "University of Louisiana at Monroe Malone Stadium" I just had to get a shot of it. Towering high in the sky, Malone Stadium opened in 1978. It has a seating capacity of 30,427 fans. Their website says their largest crowd there was on September 21, 2012 when the ULM Warhawks went up against the Baylor Bears at the 2012 home opener and there were 31,175 people in attendance. The complex was named for James L. Malone, the coach who has won the most games in school history. The field runs roughly north-northeast, with an imbalanced grandstand, the west stands being the larger stands.

About Kathy White
I have always loved to take pictures. My first job, at age 16, was receptionist for our local newspaper, but the owners soon included me in taking photos, darkroom and writing articles. After a bad fall that resulted in surgery, I was recuperating at home and stir crazy. My husband took me out for drives in the country. We bought a new digital camera...
