Artist's Description
My husband and I made an impromptu visit to White Rock Lake in Dallas recently. There were quite a few people out observing and photographing the many birds, ducks, and especially the pelicans. This wooden dock made a nice place to see them. I met this lady, Lorri Crossno, as she sat shooting the pelicans--with her camera, of course. She was taking the photo opportunity very seriously! We talked about photography for a few minutes and how we felt about it. I asked her if she was doing anything with the photos she took. I told her I had just joined a website called Fine Art America about a month prior. To my surprise, she told me that she, also, was a member already of FAA. What a cool coincidence! I am surprising her with two photos of her taking photos! (Don't worry, I have her permission to post them! :)
About Kathy White
I have always loved to take pictures. My first job, at age 16, was receptionist for our local newspaper, but the owners soon included me in taking photos, darkroom and writing articles. After a bad fall that resulted in surgery, I was recuperating at home and stir crazy. My husband took me out for drives in the country. We bought a new digital camera...
