Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

"Red Wolf Napping" is a photograph I took in the Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The red wolves housed at CA&NC are on loan from the US Fish and Wildlife Services as a part of the federal species survival plan (SSP) for the red wolves. The red wolf is a critically endangered mammal and efforts are being made to restore this species to its original habitat. CA&NC has three enclosures which house the wolves, one is off exhibit and designated for breeding, the other two usually contain two to three wolves for public viewing. When David and I were there, we saw four red wolves in two separate enclosures. They had good sized enclosures to walk about and they were very curious of us. We were there at just the right time, on a snowy weekday when we were the only visitors. We got to sit on a bench and watch their activity and photograph them when we could. They are such beautiful animals....I did not want to leave. They never seemed aggressive, just...

I have always loved to take pictures. My first job, at age 16, was receptionist for our local newspaper, but the owners soon included me in taking photos, darkroom and writing articles. Years later, a terrible event in my personal life brought back a love of taking photos that I had not been pursuing to any great extent. My only child passed away at the age of 22. He was such a wonderful guy and I feel blessed that God chose me to be his mom. Reeling from his death, I sought some sort of diversion, needing to get my mind focused on anything besides my great loss. After a bad fall that resulted in surgery, I was recuperating at home and stir crazy. My husband took me out for drives in the country. We bought a new digital camera...
